I fell in love with SCAD from the second I arrived.
It’s allowed me to explore majors to find the right career path, it’s allowed me to become more independent with its unique scattered campus structure, and it’s allowed me to interact with people who are just like me; young adults passionate about art and motivated to make the world a more artistic place.
I’m entering my 3rd year at SCAD and it’s been nothing but a dream. The education, professors, life, and community are absolutely incredible and unbelievably encouraging. I have yet to take one class I regretted or disapproved of a professor. I had the fear of majoring in anything art related because of the limited career choices, but SCAD made me confident. I feel confident in my abilities, in my leadership skills, and in my major. I’m excited and anxious to explore careers because I know that once I leave SCAD, I’ll be prepared.
I’ve learned to not take for granted the opportunities and grasp every opportunity that will allow me to grow stronger. Before, I lacked the confidence, always believing there were others better than me. SCAD has taught me to be one step ahead.
Most importantly, I’ve learned more about myself in the past 2 years than I have in my entire life.
